Continued Problems...
Updated 08.09.01
The computer situation is still pretty grim on Ty's end. If I could draw, I'd entertain you with
my own rendition of Oddjob, but you wouldn't want that. Trust me, you wouldn't want that at all.
If you want a laugh, you can visit our "Olde" web site. We cancelled the account years ago, but the
ghost of the web server still serves up the pages from deep in the heart of the cyber twilight zone.
We can't access it or make it go away! It's haunted!
You'll also see why it's not a good idea to have me handle
the design work.
Another fun site if you like to see rabbits with pancakes on their heads...

Well crap!
Updated 08.06.01
As you might have noticed there is no new strip for Monday, as there should be. While attempting to illustrate the day's strip I began to
notice my computer keyboard not working. I narrowed it down to somehow Adobe Illustrator is screwing up my keyboard, and not allowing me to type.
Illustrator isn't working without the keyboard, and thus I can't draw the day's strip.
Now I am no computer genius, as my attempts to fix thing include shutting the computer off and unplugging everything. Beyond that I call in the
cavalry (Ian, and/or his buddy Mike). Well they are currently at work (those suckers have jobs, haha) and can't help me at the moment. So for now
I can't draw anything until the computer gets fixed. So hopefully later tonight, or tomorrow I can post the new strip. Sorry.

A new month is upon us
Updated 08.03.01

What is this you ask? Well, in what must have been a drunken stupor, Ian and I came up with this crazy new concept while in San Diego. It's McGarrett,
Quincy and Mason! Steve McGarrett arrests the perp, Quincy nails him with the evidence, and Perry Mason then convicts the bastard in court, no criminal
is safe from this Super Team!
The above graphic was made by a member of our forum in anticipation of our newest project. Check out the forum and throw in your two cents!

A new month is upon us
Updated 08.01.01
ODDJOB.net officially has one month in the books, we can prove it too! Go to the archives and take a looksee!
We kinda finished a little story arc, and it looks like Robin has taken control of the strip. Kind of a take off of the wildly hilarious
Family Circus comic strips in your local newspaper. For any legal complaints, contact the writer Ian.

APE MADNESS!
Updated 07.30.01
I guess everyone in the world went out to see the new Planet of the Apes flick this past weekend. I don't know where I'm going with this, I just
needed something to get me started. I haven't seen it yet, nor has my brother. He's to busy watching his copy of BATTLE ROYALE over and over again.
This begins our 5th week of ODDJOB.NET and I have to say I've been having fun with it. It's taking me a while to do each new strip because I
recreated the characters for this online venture and don't have much of a library to work from. People have asked me for years how I draw on the computer and
I plan on putting together a tutorial online sometime soon.

What's new?
Updated 07.27.01
Just a short note as I had a trying evening that involved taking my puppy to the emergency room.
If anyone noticed I fixed the header at the top of the page and added the archive buttons underneath each day's comic.
The way the site is designed with frames the next and back button couldn't have worked in the header frame.

We're Back...
Updated 07.25.01
We got back on Monday from a long and much needed break in San Diego. The San Diego ComicCon was as huge as ever. They tore down a wall
and extended the main floor. Ian and I sat at the Slave Labor Graphics booth in the Independent Press Pavilion in the middle of convention
floor right across from DC Comics.
We got a lot of good response for our new online venture, and everyone kept asking if we were going to collect the 8 ODDJOB issues into a
trade paperback (we're working on it). Many people expressed their dismay that ODDJOB was ending with issue #8, but all things must come to
an end. We also met some contacts for different animation houses in LA, that we're going to follow up with in the coming months.
Some of the highlights were meeting Scott Kurtz from PVP, Coghead and Meatus animated short by Doug TenNapel, getting a new Giant Robot shirt, klingon sightings (sadly the amount of klingons seem
to be decreasing), SLG 15th Anniversary Party, the Mr. Show panel, the "El Champion" at La Salsa, talking with Bob Burden of Flaming Carrot
and Mystery Men fame, and more...

Special Thanks
Updated 07.25.01
Ian and I would like to thank my fiance Laura for being a real trooper and updating the site for us while we were gone.

I'm outta here!
Updated 07.13.01
I have been feverishly working on getting the next 4 ODDJOB strips done before I leave for San Diego. I head out this Saturday so
I can spend a few days before the show with my buddy who goes to the San Diego Golf Academy. This will be my last post before I go,
Ian might feel the need to chime in every now and then (he doesn't leave till next Wednesday).
If anyone out there is heading to the convention in San Diego, drop by the Slave Labor Graphics booth and say "Boo-yah!" Maybe we'll
give you a nice treat, or maybe we won't. You can never tell with us.
Have a good week, when I'm back I'll post photos and regale you with stories of the spectacle that is the San Diego ComicCon.

Lets get small
Updated 07.11.01
I've spent the last couple of days optimizing all the graphics for the web. I've been doing my best at making it as unnoticeable as
possible. I've made a lot of headway, and cut down the graphic sizes by more than 1/2 in some instances. So what does this boring
stuff mean for you, the reader? Well ODDJOB.NET will load faster. I've been spoiled on DSL for the last 6 months, and tend to forget
things like load times.
This has been a great learning process, if you notice anything that doesn't work (right now I can only check it on PC and Linux) or
if you have any suggestions for something you'd like to see us try, please e-mail me or post it in the forum.
I have to go get ready for our big trip to the San Diego Comic Con...

Week 2 begins...
Updated 07.09.01
Everything seems to be going pretty good on our end, the strip has been getting traffic, we've had some great response from readers and
other webcomic creators, and we're getting ready for the big San Diego Comic Con next week. That will be the first test of our regular updates.
I've enlisted the help of my fiance to put up the new strips while we're gone, I know she can handle it.
We've got some new sections added to the forum, check it out and drop us a line.

First week down
Updated 07.06.01
Here it is the last installment for our first week. This strip introduces Moose, the 3rd and final of the main characters of ODDJOB.
We got a plug from Bill Charbonneau who does a nice webcomic that I just started reading called Weird Theorem. Go check it out and laugh, now! Well after you read our strip for today.
Short post today, I have to get cracking on next week's strips.

One down, an eternity to go...
Updated 07.04.01
We had a great response our first day out, better than we could have imagined. What helps is that we got a nice plug from our
buddy Scott Kurtz who does a great lil' webcomic of his own PVP. Plus we got some nice response from Scott(#2) Thigpen over at Boomslang. Thanks guys, we owe you both big bear hugs, or at least some of those gum cigars!
These first few strips will be your introduction (or re-introduction to you loyal viewers from the comic book) to
our characters, setting, and feel that we're trying to achieve. Then we'll roll out the big guns!
Enjoy this holiday of destruction, and try to keep the majority of your fingers and extraneous appendages. I kinda' feel sorry for
those tikes of today. In my day we had more destructive legal fireworks and cheaply made Star Wars, and G.I. Joe action figures
to blow up. All the action figures made today are special or limited edition collectors items that you dare not take out of the
package and play with.
Boom Boom

I blow up any action figure at any time...

Today is the day!
Updated 07.02.01
Today ODDJOB.NET lauches as a webcomic. For those who don't know us my brother (Ian) and I(Tyson) are no strangers to the sequential arts. We've been doing comic
stories for the past 7 years. In that time we managed to doodle and scrawl together numerous mini-comics, full sized self-piblished comics, and 8 (count 'em 8)
issues from the prestigous SLAVE LABOR GRAPHICS.
We welcome you to check in every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to see what blends of oddness and hilarity that we can bring you. As this site is a
work in progress please let us know what you like, or dislike, what you'd love to see or anything else. You can e-mail us directly or leave a note in
our snazzy forums (it's fun and easy to boot!).
If you want to find out what kind of new-super-marvy-keen stuff is going on over at oddjob.net join our mailing list!
You never thought it would happen, eh?
Updated 06.27.01
Well here we go, the ODDJOB comic strip will launch on July 2nd, churning out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Yes, this whole
thing is going to be a fun experiment. We'll be tweaking things as we go. We don't have a forum up and running right now, but hopefully by
launch date the forum Ian designed will be in full gear. ODDJOB.NET is in the midst of chaning ISP's and this will make things better for us in the
long run, there just me be some adjusting ofr us in the beginning.
For anyone who's new to us, my brother and I have been doing full size comicbooks for the last 4 years or so, and self published
mini-comics for a few years before that. Feel free to peruse the rest of the website to see the lil' world we've created.
So anyway, sit back and enjoy a new addition to the already crowded world of webcomics!

ODDJOB #8 hits the stands...
Updated 05.25.01
The final issue of ODDJOB is out and ready for your perusal. >>click image to enlarge<<
The Ghost of Moe's Past...
For such a small town, Spiral City attracts some of the oddest happenings ever.
Moe is hot on the secret to why the city is plagued by the bizarre, but his past is catching up to him.
It doesn't help matters that his past includes an 80ft. mutated armadillo. Oddjob #8 sees the return of Armagon,
the end of the series, and cameos of thousands of Spiral City's less known inhabitants.
Is this the end for Moe? Will all be answered? Are there any answers, or have the creators been
piecing the plots together from Bazooka Joe wrappers and re-runs of Benson? One thing is for certain,
buildings will crumble like cardboard and plaster.

What the hell is going on here?
Updated 02.20.01

Oddjob7 to hit the stands...
Updated 02.10.01
ODDJOB 7 comes out just in time for Valentine's day. Just think of how surprised and delighted your signifigant
other will be when he/she is presented with a shiny new ODDJOB7!
This issue concludes Moe's origin started in
ODDJOB6, and features an amazing casefile The End of Oddity by a web celebrity over at Ain't It Cool News, Miss Alexandra DuPont.
So what's it about you ask? This! It’s the final showdown in Spiral City, on the eve of the invasion that threatens
to overwhelm our poor dimension with bumbling, grumbling, and vaguely annoying robots. Moe and Co. stand forward to
enter the Battle Arena to save mankind from a bothersome fate. As added incentive, Moe’s fate hangs in the balance as
he tackles his mysterious past, and Evil Moe, the alter ego responsible for stealing his eyes 7 years ago. All is revealed
as Moe’s origin gets odder and odder. Plus, Robin battles Abraham Lincoln!
