HI TY!

Finally got to see an actual ODDJOB comic! Man, you’re good! Powerful consistent graphic storytelling-Not one wasted panel. Are there any colections available? Maybe when I explore your website I’ll find that question answered-I went straight to your email. Anyway, wanted to say "very cool comic" And published by my alma mater,

SLG. Dan Vado gave me my first break ever. Forever grateful. And grateful to you for giving me a copy of your comic. Keep up the good work!

THANKS! Mike Allred

No, we didn’t make this letter up! Ty and I aren’t that creative! Plus our lawyer advised against it, especially after considering that we got into a bit of trouble over that whole "ChiP’s" fiasco. Low profile, that’s what we’re all about these days!

As of now, we don’t have any trades out, but who knows what the future holds? All of our stuff is still in print (barely), but would be nice to have it all in one, portable, odd book.

Of course, Mr. Allred needs no introduction. If you want to find his stuff, it’s at the comic book store. At the front. Where it deserves to be.

Picked up a couple issues of Oddjob at the Portland Comic-Con, and I’m impressed! I’ve been venturing into the murky-yet-rewarding area of small-press comics for about two years now, and Oddjob is now one of my faves. Few comics get me to laugh out loud, but yours did!

Thanks a bunch, guys, and I think I’ll be a reader in the future, too.

C’mon in! The water may be murky, but small press is where it’s at! Want true artistic vision? Pick up a small press book! Made with blood and tears, and moxie! Love is in every saddle stitch, every creased binding, and photocopied page...

Thanks for the kind words! We will try to live up to them!

Los Bros Odd!,

I think I’ve uncovered a conspiracy of the Odd! I counted up the references to Hawaii 5-0 in Oddjob (and the Odd Adventure-Zine). There’s more than 20! Are you somehow under the control of Jack Lord? Are these clues cries for help? Did Jack fake his death! Tell me!

P.S. I counted the ChiP’s references too. What’s up with that?

From, Billy Swan
Billy! Jack Lord is really dead. And yes, we have this toy phone that he sometimes calls on from beyond the grave, but he’s not controlling us per se. More like a technical consultant.

Larry Wilcox lives in Spiral City, when he’s not appearing in infomercials, or at Murder, She Wrote conventions.

Ty and I love mail! Please send us more! I like to spread my letters out on my bed, and roll around on them, sometimes throwing them up in the air and cackling loudly until one of my roommates pounds on my door.

Oh yeah, we also edit for grammar and spelling, just so y’all won’t look like idiots...
